Nice friendly pub. Nice atmosphere. Good choice of well cooked food. Good choice of beers, lagers and ciders as well as other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Kiddies welcome. Good kids menu choice. Quizes and entertainment on through out the week. Outside seating and play area for the summer. Keep kids under supervision as only a few minutes opposite the canal.
My family and I have been going to the Hope And Anchor for many years and it's always good value for money. It can get very busy at certain times but you can book tables. And if you download the Green King app you can choose and pay for your food and drink from your table and get table service plus first time you use the app you get 20% off the total bill!
Called in for a spot of lunch. Lovely location next to Grand Union Canal. Welcoming staff. Fast service with food. Food hot but not over cooked. Very nice meal at a very reasonable price. Well done Hope and Anchor staff.
Absolutely love this pub. It's so cozy & it can feel romantic too. Staff are lovely, happy to help. Menu is full of pub favs that everyone loves, the food is always fresh & cooked to order. The food tastes really good It's a regular place for our Date Night. Outside there's a park for the kids. Able to sit out with drinks. Disabled access with loo. There's a few kids lucky dip claw games also offer colouring pages with little quizzes & a couple of adult gambling machines. Go....go try this family pub out, you'll love it too
